Pray for our Nation

Image
Therefore confess your sins  to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.  The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective. John 5:16 God tells us when we are walking right with God our prayers are powerful and effective. God hears our prayers and honors them. When our hearts are close to God's we have the same desires that he wills. That is why they're powerful and effective. Our family prays for this nation every day. We do not talk gloom and doom because we understand the power of words. 80 percent of the Gospel news that's shared in the world comes out of the United States. God is not finished with our nation yet. We are experiencing a reset because our nation needs to repent before God for atrocious sin and rebellion. The murder of the unborn and the teaching of immorality in the schools and disdain for God and his word are some of the main sins that need repentance and change before God's eyes. Our country still stands with God

Are you Following God's Holy Spirit?

Moses' punishment for striking the rock the second time and turning a deaf ear to God's voice is a type and shadow of what God will do when his voice through the Holy Spirit in this day and age is ignored or disregarded as God.  Numbers 20:9-12 So Moses took the staff from the  Lord ’s presence, just as he commanded him.   10  He and Aaron gathered the assembly together in front of the rock and Moses said to them, “Listen, you rebels, must we bring you water out of this rock?”   11  Then Moses raised his arm and struck the rock twice with his staff. Water gushed out, and the community and their livestock drank. 12  But the  Lord  said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them.” Are you on board with what God is doing through his Holy Spirit? Just because a child of God has never experienced an aspect of God before doesn't mean they have a right o

The Prodigal

Image
The Lord's mind and heart are focused on the prodigal today. That is any of his children who have once known him and walked away. Read the story of the Prodigal in Luke 16. God is drawing prodigals back by his loving kindness. Pray for those who have walked away from God. In a way, even those who have not turned their back on God may be experiencing a cold heart toward him, or they have inhibitions in certain areas about trusting God. Love has grown weak and doubt has entered the mind. Ask for forgiveness and re ignite your relationship with God. He is waiting with arms wide open to embrace you. The enemy's plan is to separate God's children from him in this time frame. He is surely testing the believers' faith. Stand strong and do not listen to lies. Look up, God is near, and he wants you to lean on him, draw faith and assurance from him, and show your love and trust in his Son's name, Jesus. He is able to walk you through. Father in heaven, Forgive me where I have

Agreeing with God's Word in All Things

Image
Read the passage below from Job and really think about it. There are many lessons to be learned here. God gives us each breath. We owe him our love and our lives. He loved us first before we ever knew him or his love. He has given life to all people. No person lived before God to appoint him to his position. God does not pervert justice. God can do no wrong. He is perfect in all his ways and full of wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Job 34:12-15 It is unthinkable that God would do wrong,      that the Almighty would pervert justice. 13  Who appointed him over the earth?      Who put him in charge of the whole world? 14  If it were his intention      and he withdrew his spirit   and breath, 15  all humanity would perish together      and mankind would return to the dust. Do you believe the Word of God in all these things? If there is an area that you need to reset your thinking and come into agreement with God, then take the time to do so now. We can never fully understand God, but

Be Willing to Repent When Wrong

Image
Revelation 3:19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline.  So be earnest and repent. Our God is a just God. He loves everyone with the greatest love ever known to mankind. However, God chooses to correct his own children who have accepted Jesus, his son, in their heart at times. Here's a list of things that the Bible tells us is important to God in following him: 1. So many talk about humility these days. Humility is admitting when you're wrong and repenting of wrong. This is one big character trait that comes with humility in the eyes of God, to repent when he corrects. 2. Loyalty is agreeing with God in every way. When God's children disagree with him it grieves his heart, and whatever seed they sow in disagreement they will reap the consequences the Bible tells us. Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.    3. Godly love is loving God FIRST, then we're able to love all others through him (I John 4). 4. Obedience is doing al

God is a Caregiver

Image
He is able. Do you believe that? God is able to bless you abundantly in your work for him. Are you a caregiver? God is specifically speaking to my heart about caregivers today. I asked him what to share today and I heard this: "Caregiver. God is a caregiver." God has MANY different types of caregivers in the body of Christ, and God the Father is the caregiver of ALL his children. We are all adopted into the Body of Christ to be a son or a daughter of the King. If you are a caregiver of any kind in any way, believe God that he is the provider of your work and your needs. He can provide rest, food, clothing, work, medical care, and help when you need it. Let's not forget that we are talking about God with whom ALL things are possible. Take your cares to him. Leave them at his feet and do not worry. God will work the problems out. Nothing is too hard for him. I Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxiety on him  because he cares for you. (NIV) My family can attest to that testimony tim

Reacquaint yourself with God

Does God seem far away? Are you looking at the circumstances and they seem overwhelming? Take your eyes off the storm and focus on God alone. Draw nigh to him and he promises to draw nigh to you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Tell him your heart, then be still and listen to his. Ask him what it is that you don't understand, or failed to do that he asked. Ask God to remind you where you last left off in communication. He will tell you. God reveals his thoughts to mankind. Amos 4:13 NIV He who forms the mountains,      who creates the wind,      and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness,      and treads on the heights of the earth—      the  Lord  God Almighty is his name. What is your heart telling you? Where are your thoughts turning? A friend of Job named Eliphaz gave advice to Job in chapter 22 thinking that he had sinned before God. Even though Eliphaz did not understand the situation we can still follow his words for our own lives. When the road seems tough,
