Maturity in Christ - Ephesians 4:14-15
God is speaking about His children developing maturity in their Christian walk.
Immaturity shows itself when a person tosses their thinking back and forth between what the world says or what they THINK, then over to the opinion of a friend, and then they consider what the Bible says, and there is never any real heart decision made to revere God's Word.
The lack of commitment to God's Word as the rule of the heart causes a believer's ideas to blow around like the wind.
Here's what God's Word says about that kind of living. God calls it immature.
Ephesians 4:14-15
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.
Never allow your carnal mind to weigh in on judging whether you want to follow the Word of God or not. Commit to God's scripture as your moral guide in all avenues of life.
Determine in your heart to be loyal to God's Word and His heart about everything.
God doesn't want us straddling the fence about His Word.
Trust in Him. God's got this.
God's ways and thoughts are higher.
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
God is asking for maturity today, and that means placing your full trust in His Word for everything in your life.
